Casey’s Welcome!

Casey’s Welcome 640

Yeeeeehaaaaaaaaawwwwww!!  I made the time to participate in Beate’s Weekend Sketch Challenge!  Sometimes my weekends are just packed with other “musts” and I don’t get as much ‘play’ time as I might wish.  (I’m betting some of you have had that same dilemma.)  I’ve used my new “Casey” stamp (Inky Antics) for this card … and I’m just going to have to do more with her for the sheer fun of coloring.

My base card is a 5 & 1/4″ square, topped with a 5″ square piece of Cosmo Cricket paper.    Building up from the printed paper is a 3 & 5/8″ X 4.75″ So Saffron layer, beneath a 3 & 3/8″ X 4/5″ section of Sage Shadow.  The image piece is 2.5″ X 3 & 5/8″, layered atop a 2 & 5/8″ X 3.75 section of Ruby Red.  The image layers are adhered atop the ribbon and underlayers with SU Dimensionals.  It’s all finished off with a Martha Stewart Gerbera Daisy.  I’ve changed the flower center with Martha’s Brownstone glitter, and added Ruby Red ink to the petals.  Other little bitty details include Sakura Stardust pens to bring in a metal look to Casey’s belt buckle, and shirt buttons.

Here’s to a fabulous week for all of you!  I’m “expecting” that it’s going to be beyond blessed here!  *wink*  If that is the case …. I might be a little MIA … but that will be the only reason why.

Card Recipe STAMPS==> Inky Antics ‘Casey’, IA Western wear Background;  INKS==>  Brilliance Black, Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow;  CARDSTOCK==>  Ruby Red, Sage Shadow, So Saffron, Whisper White;  ACCESSORIES==> Cosmo Cricket Fairy Tales paper, May Arts Ribbon, Martha Stewart Stickers, Martha Stewart Glitter, Sakura Stardust pens, PrismaColor Pencils, Gamsol, Stumps, Copic Marker, Corner Rounder Punch, Sponges, Dimensional adhesives.

I like all your cards – beautiful!
I noticed you “outline/shadow” your stamped images in light grey. I have seen other artists do this – I like the look. Can you tell me what you use? (I think it’s one of the SU markers). Thank you.
