Hanna’s “Tis the Season” Bookmarks!

Bookmarks Mistletoe 400

Oh how I love the sweet little stamps in Hanna Stamps’ newest set, “Tis the Season”!  These little magnetic bookmarks are quick and easy, especially with the ‘Nestabilities’ circle dies from Ellen Hutson, LLC.

Bookmarks Gift 450The images are stamped with Palette Noir hybrid ink on shimmery white cardstock, then colored with Copic markers.   Stickles glitter glue provides the extra bling on the mistletoe and the package images as well.    All circles were die cut with the Nestabilities dies, using my Cuttlebug.  Paper piercing was used in some of the scallops for variety.

Bookmarks In Book 400Next … it’s just a matter of layering the fronts, then securely adhering one end of ribbon behind the image.   Atop the ribbon, I’ve adhered 1 more red scalloped layer, creating a closed “sandwich” with the ribbon in the middle.  Repeat the steps on the other end of an approximate 3″ – 4″ ribbon strip.

The last step is adding the Basic Grey magnetic snaps to the backs of the images.  bookmark on book 400These are packaged in ‘+’ and ‘-‘ pairs, and already have adhesive.

Tex’s Tip: Just peel & stick one magnet to the image back.  Now stack the partner magnet on top of the 1st one, peel off the label and bring the pairing image to the magnet for perfect alignment of the magnets.  The magnets will easily grip one or two pages in your current book, notebook, shopping notes, etc., leaving the ribbon loop above the page for easy location later!   I hope you enjoy thesebookmark In Page 400 easy little gifts for the holiday season!

  1. Super cute project!!! I love it!

  2. Love this project!
One thing that I always feel compelled to say about these little magnets — they are super strong, and if a small child were to eat two of them, I hear that it can be fatal — leading to a tear in the intestine (the magnets want to stick to themselves, and if they are in the intestine when they do so…)

Anyway — I like to cover mine with paper so they are not as likely to be picked off of a project, or fall off in the event of a glue failure. I don’t think this happens often, but better safe than sorry.

Gorgeous work, though, and I don’t mean to scare anyone!

    Hi,

These are great, I am going to make some for little christmas presents for my family and the boys teachers. I want to show my version of them on my blog and was wondering if it would be OK to link your post on there, as I don’t want people to think they are my idea.
