Fudgy Snowman Tag!

Whipper Snapper Snowman tag completed project 640

I’ve been looking for the perfect way to use this adorable snowman stamp … and I saw these tins of fudge at the grocery store .. I knew exactly what I was going to do!  I just love it when an idea “happens” spontaneously!    My goal was to create a simple & quick stamped gift tag … perfect for those who drop by during the Christmas season, for sweet teacher gifts, co-worker pick-me-ups, and lots of other quick ideas!

WS Snowman Tag window holes 250My talented friend, Michelle Wooderson, is the first person that I recall using this SU Word Window Punch in creative ways beyond the obvious “word window”.     I love to use it as a ‘connection’ between ribbons and tags.  Truth is, I rarely use it as a mere “window”.  I prefer to use it in other ways, such as this.    In this case, I folded the punched piece in half, added 2-way glue to one half, then dipped it in the pot of Dazzling Diamonds glitter, which equates to instant bling!

WS Snowman Tag windowoncord 250Next, I punched a 1/16″ hole in the folded piece.  After a short drying period, I slipped that piece around some of the ribbon/cord elements, inserted the primary tag, and secured it all with a glittered silver brad!  Hopefully, my pictures will help you to use your Word Window Punch in similar ways.  If not .. please feel free to use the “Contact Me” button below my picture on the main page, and ask your questions via email.  😉

Oh, this is wonderful, Bev! Absolutely adorable!! I love the idea of handing out little gifts to folks who stop by over the holiday season. It sounds like fun to keep a basket by the door filled with miscellaneous treats like this. Oh, my gosh! I want to do it right now!! I have a cupboard full of tins…all I have to do is decorate and fill them. Oh, what fun! You’re a fabulous inspiration! Thank you!!
