Door Prizes from Arlington’s Stamp Day!

door prize ribbons 284×450Well it seems like I attended the delightful shoe box day and then came home to sleep … and then, sleep … and, well … sleep.   Hmmmmm.  Hopefully that has passed!

One of the fun things at most SCS gatherings is the sharing of door prizes.  Prizes vary from hand-made, hand-stamped, purchased items, gift certificates, or a combination of any of those.  We were fortunate to have several awesome prize donations from the Card Ladies, ‘Cut@Home’, ‘the Crop Shop’, ‘The Crafty Scrapper’ (LSS), eclectic Paperie, Gina K Designs and Verve Visual.   If you know of more, please let me know so that I can include them in my “Thanks”

I was oh so lucky to receive ribbons & ribbons & ribbons!  (Did you know that I love having a ribbon stash?)  😉   The really surprising & cool part is that my sweet friend & stamp club member, Pat, is the clever lady who brought this door prize!   A huge “Thank you!” to my delightful friend!

Altered Tin & Notebook 450×339 Arlington DoorPrizeWhen I took some quick photos of the door prize I made, before rushing out the door, I misfiled them on my computer.  It was like a silly trick that I had played on myself!   Deborah, (beadn&stampin from SCS) was the winner of my altered tin & notebook.    For my honestly simple project, I altered a Maya Road lunchbox tin from eclectic Paperie, and a standard steno notebook from the office store for the coordinated set.  Because the tin was a lot taller than the notebook, I shortened all of the pages and the covers before altering.  The notebook now fits inside the tall tin!  My Rubicoil enabled me to prep the SU papers for adhering to the covers.  Papers are all from Stampin’ Up!, as well as the chipboard and ribbons.  All papers & ribbons are adhered to the tin and the notebook with the awesome Scor-Tape available at Scor-Pal!  I LOVE this tape!  It’s very high-tack, without the thickness of red-line tapes, and an excellent buy as well.  Thanks for stopping by!  I hope y’all have a delightful week!

Project Recipe:  STAMPS:  None!!  Yikes!  PAPERS:  SU Western Sky.  INKS:  Bayou Blue, River Rock.  ACCESSORIES:  Ribbons = SU Double-Stitched Ribbons Bayou Blue and River Rock, SU Chipboard, SU Pop-Up Glue Dots, SU Linen Thread, Scor-Tape, Foof-a-lah buttons, Rubicoil, Maya Road Lunch Tin, sponges.
