Father’s Day * Navy Embossed
I cased one of my own Convention 2007 swaps for this stamp club project this week. I had asked my friend for an idea to use in class, and her response was “a Father’s Day card”! Thanks, Cheryl! Father’s Day seems like a great time to use an alphabet on a card. Some of the choices for lettering include Dad, Love, or his first name! One of the stampers was able to put her hubby’s name across the bottom using 5 letters. Four letters will fit on this card vertically. This bold “Happy Father’s Day” sentiment is part of the very useful “All Holidays” stamp set. It’s such a good set, that I’ve used all but one or two of the stamps. For this one, I stamped the ‘Happy Father’s Day’ with Craft Night of Navy (pigment) ink, then embossed with clear embossing powder. Simple doodling with a Night of Navy marker was added to the edges to carry on the dashed lines within the sentiment. The Wild West Alphabet was used to stamp lettering with Classic Night of Navy ink. I love that star stamp too. It’s included in the alphabet set! The stamped star background panel was repeated on the inside writing surface of the card. Thanks for stopping by today!
