Glorious Fruit!

Glorious Fruit 446×475new

“Our Daily Bread Designs” has presented two beautiful new stamp sets!   This card features the image stamp from “Fruit of the Spirit”.   It seems like the first moment I saw this set, I knew what paper I wanted to use.  In some way, this single sheet of Daisy D’s paper was just waiting there for the right stamp.   While the basket of fruit is colored with Copics, the cloth beneath the basket is paper-pieced from the paper used atop the card.    Three inks were used in the sponging, to pull in some of the richest coloring from the papers.  At first I thought I might be making a mistake with the sponged colors, but once everything was put together, I felt like it should stay.  That thin vertical strip of paper on the left is Prism Sunflowers Light, cuttlebugged, then sponged with More Mustard and Really Rust craft inks.  And that rich black satin ribbon?  Why that’s part of my ribbon door prize winnings from Pat Sickler at the Arlington Shoebox swap earlier this month!  Thanks again, Pat!

Card Recipe:  STAMPS>>  “Fruit of the Spirit” by Our Daily Bread Designs.  INKS>>  Palette Noir Black, Creamy Caramel, More Mustard, Really Rust, Copic Markers.   PAPERS>>  Basic Black, Prism Sunflowers Light, Prism Sunflowers Dark, Really Rust, Georgia Pacific White.  ACCESSORIES>>  Black Brads, Cuttlebug, Black Satin Ribbon, Foam Tape, Sponges.
