Wacky Wednesday & Backgrounds Galore!

Hi there, everyone!   It’s Wacky Wednesday, and I’m here to share a brand new background stamp with you !  While the Rubbernecker team assembled here last week, Mr. Rubbernecker surprised us with lots of new rubber!  LOTS!  Our first new release presents our 7 new background stamps.  Yes  — 7 new background stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps!  Our team was applauding loudly when we got our first peek at these new surprises, right here last weekend!

My card uses the new “Flourish” background.   It’s a full-sized background stamp of 4.25″ x 5.5″.  Although one might first envision this one as simply an ‘elegant’ stamp, I wanted to create a card that might allow you to see how easy it can be to whip up a quick card using just your new background and one sentiment.   I don’t know about you, but I have a  need for several Thank You cards.  Tex’s Tip: Using a background stamp behind your sentiment can enable you to create a quick yet lovely card without spending lots of extra time when you have a need for several same-type cards.

Another new item you’ll discover at the Rubbernecker Store is Prism Cardstock!   I especially adore the very subtle ‘leather’-type texture on one side of these cardstocks.  It allows us to choose whether or not the texture is needed because one side has a ‘leathery’ texture, while the reverse side is smooth.  It’s automatically versatile, and the selection also includes a totally smooth white and vanilla.  Both of these work beautifully with your inks as well as with your Copic Markers!  Mr. Rubbernecker is offering Prism c/s by single sheets too, so you don’t have to purchase a whole package if you prefer to ‘sample’ at first!

Now just what is ‘Wacky Wednesday’??  Oh you’ll want to check out the Rubbernecker Blog to participate.  Mr. Rubbernecker offers the 3 winning participants a 25% savings on one order at our Rubbernecker Blog!  This week’s challenge from Bad Sherry herself?  Create a stampy background card!  Our design team is using our new background stamps, but the main idea is to create and upload a card or project using a stamped background!   We know that you haven’t had the chance to get your new backgrounds, so no worry there!  Woooooohooooooooooooooo!! Create your project, and please upload a link to it on the Rubbernecker Blog by Monday, April 6 to be considered for one of the 3, 25% savings coupons to be given to the 3 winning uploads!  Winners will be announced on the Rubbernecker Blog on Tuesday, April 7.  Best of luck to you!

My card was created with our new ‘Flourish’ background along with the ‘Every Little Thing Text’.  My color choices are from this week’s SCS Color Challenge.   My Prism Paper colors are Iced Pink, Blush Red Dark, and Suede Brown Dark.  Yummy!

Many thanks for stopping by today!  If you’re in the mood for more ideas and peeks at the new backgrounds, please visit these delightful blogs from the rest of the Rubbernecker Deign Team!  (By the way, I’ll have more pics to post from their recent visit to Texas!)
