To Find Your Path … …

Hi there, everyone!  I hope you have a sweet weekend planned!  I thought I’d bring in the weekend with some heat embossing … again.  I guess I’ve recently been enjoying the way embossing seems to cause some images and sentiments to really “pop”.  Seems as soon as I put away my embossing powder and my tidy tray, I have to go back & get them again.

This time, I’ve stamped 2 large flourish images directly onto patterned paper, then heat embossed.  RN flourish findpath sentmnt 228×300I knew I wanted a square card, so I trimmed the paper after embossing the images, leaving room for a sentiment on the side.   As I was working, I decided to use my oval Nesties to create a window on the front, allowing the sentimen to be placed inside, yet still be seen from the front.    The limited supplies challenge this week at SCS restricted us to using only 1/2 sheet of plain cardstock, and everything else had to be patterned paper.  Well, I didn’t even use 1/2 sheet of the black, as this card is not the typical 5.5″ square.   And luckily, the Basic Grey paper pad includes solids as well as prints, which gives a lot of added options.

The inside features coordinating paper and the strategically placed sentiment.  I also stamped the flourish on the inside papers with embossing ink, for a very subtle echo of the front RN flourish findpath opn 168×300images.  I hope you enjoy!  Have a sweet weekend!

  7. Wellllllll,
I’m feelimg a bit like an “old favorite” pair of gardening/farming news of SCS.
There is a “hidden” part of me that owes HUGE thanks to Father God for the talents I’ve found since leaving the classrooms of Kgn and 1st Grade. Just sayin’!!
