Happy Birthday, Taylor!
It’s Taylor VanBruggen’s birthday today, and we’re having a surprise birthday blog bash for her! Confetti-throwin’ time! Toss those streamers! I’m using Taylor’s Cupcake Challenge sketch today for her birthday card. You can find this darling sketch (TECC72) today on her blog, Taylored Expressions.
Last weekend I had the sweet chance to shop at the Great American Scrapbook Convention with Lori & Sharon. This was the perfect opportunity to use some of the cool new Basic Grey paper we scored there. Yum! I’ve used the 6×6 pad for paper-piecing the cupcake as well as for the background in the sketch. This little cupcake image is actually my masked version of the little reindeer cupcake from Taylor’s “Season’s Sweetings” set. This time I just used Scotch tape applied directly to the rubber to mask off the antlers for inking. Tex’s Tip: Apply Scotch tape securely to rubber areas that you do not want to ink. Now ink up your image, and remember to remove that inky scotch tape! Now stamp that revised image! Easy-peasy, as long as you remember to remove that inky tape. *wink* My sentiment was computer-generated.
