I’ve used the ‘Perfect Package Card Box’ for my altered project today.  Why is this such a cool gift box?  You’ll be so happy with the quality and heavy-duty materials/construction of this box!  It arrives flat, and flips up into a box in a snap!   Then you discover that it closes magnetically.  If you don’t want to tie it shut, you don’t have to do so.  The recipient can leave it on display, closed, with no problem.  The interior measures 4.5″ W X 5.75″ L X 2″ H.  TE box side 400×221  This allows plenty of room for a gift set of cards, or a multitude of other small-medium sized gifts including jewelry or perfumes.  I haven’t yet decided what will be tucked inside my box …. I have a couple of different recipients in mind, and that will ultimately determine the Christmas contents.

Basic Grey’s ‘Figgy Pudding’ designer papers were used to alter the box both inside & out.  The tag shape is from Spellbinders, with a metallic gold edging from my Zig Painty pen.  Papers were securely adhered to the box with my all-time favorite ‘Scor-Tape’.

TE box close crkl 375×307Now for the ‘toppings’!  I spotted this sheer ribbon recently Michael’s.  When I saw it, I knew immediately that it would work perfectly with this line of papers.  The edges are lightly wired, so the bow shapes hold up beautifully beneath the paper flowers.  Speaking of those flowers, I made them with my Spellbinders  ‘Daisy Heads’ Nestabilities.  After die-cutting the daisies, I painted them with a light coat of Ranger Distress Crackle Pain – Rock Candy.  Since I generally work beneath a ceiling fan, drying time was minimal, and I was ready to move on to shaping with a bone folder, then adhering glitter with 2-way glue.   Just a bit more drying time, and holes were punched through the centers, layers were adhered with glue dots, and specialty brads were added for the centers.  3-D Dots adhesive on the back of each flower holds each blossom in place atop ribbon bows & metallic cords.

TE box tag 375×276I know …. it sounds like ‘a lot’, but in reality, each step is simple.   You are welcome to use my ‘contact’ button in the left column if you have questions on this easy-to-create project.   You could actually make your ‘toppings’ in one creative session for several boxes, and use papers to alter your boxes at a different session for a bounty of fabulous gift boxes.  Then listen to the squeals of delight when recipients receive your creations!

We invite you to follow along through these wonderful blogs to find even more gifting inspiration using these sweet boxes!
