Ho! Ho! Ho! * SSS32 Challenge!

Welcome to a new weekend, friends!   Have you been savoring the new holiday season?  Did you explore the sales of Black Friday?   SSS32 nov28 225×174Tex’s Tip:  Don’t forget to make snippets of time to do something you love to do ‘for you’ … whether it’s stamping, working out, crafting, reading, spending time with a friend … just remember to do something for ‘you’ this weekend.

If you’re looking for a new stamping challenge, here’s a sketch from the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge!   You’re invited to play along, and share your creation with us via the Mr. Linky found at The Sweet Stop.   The winning player will receive a sweet treat from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps!  You’ll find that you can be quite flexible with the overlapping squares in this sketch, enabling you to find just the right ‘fit’ for many small to medium images.

Surprise!  (not!)  Here comes another Christmas card!  The dimensions of this sketch seemed just right for my vintage Santa stamp from Crafty Secrets.  Although my typical stamping style isn’t really ‘vintage’, I adore the vintage look & appeal of many stamps, papers, and lots of other items such as home decor, florals, quilts, and jewelry.

After stamping the Santa image, I used Eclipse tape to mask the image before lightly shading the cardstock with the Copic Airbrush system.   Crafty Snta SSS32 hohoclose 275×232 Then more Copics shading was added around the image as well.  Deckle scissors were used to add interest to some of the layers just for fun.   Another Tex’s Tip:  See those rhinestones?  They were clear … until I colored them with a Copic R59 marker.  Get your tweezers ready when you give this easy technique a try for yourself!   This really is an easy design … I hope you’ll give it a try!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!   Your sweet words always make my heart smile, and I thank you for having spent a moment of your time here with me!
