Believe It or Not …. SNOW!

Published by at 12:01 am under Bits & Thoughts,Other Than Cards

That’s right!  We actually had a bit of snow here!
Not that we ‘never’ have snow … we might get 1 or 2 little “dustings” during the winter.  But “this” is Fall!  It’s not January … and here it came in a sudden hurry, as if it was sneaking outside before Mother Nature found out!    I just happened to see it through the window, and opened the door just to see what was ‘really’ going on.  There it was, hurrying down from the clouds, knowing that it only had a few minutes to have some fun.  I scooped up my camera ‘just because’, and by noon, no one could tell that this had ever happened.  I snapped a couple of shots looking across a part of the back yard .. and there’s one huge holly bush with a new makeover in white.    So, just like those 3 a.m. Black Friday specials, ‘You snooze, you lose!’

So for the one person who asked, and just for the fun of sharing, here it is in white & gray!  We thank you for your tolerance.    😉     And a deliciously surprising day to you … Your turn!

  1. Holy Moly! Wow, that’s early for N. TX! 🙂 I remember as a kid in Ft. Worth, we never got snow, but dustings like you said or ice storms. I remember one time in particular, we had an ice storm and were off of school, so a few neighbors and I decided to ‘sled’ down my street (I lived at the bottom of a hill) on my Mom’s large metal cookie sheets! LOL! For some reason, I think my Mom went along with it and those poor cookie sheets were never the same. Mind you we were also about 12 yrs old at the time! She replaced them the next week, I think! I will have to see if I can still find the pictures of that day – I think my Mom has them! Enjoy the snow – I am sure it won’t last long! Thanks for sharing the pics! Living in FL, I do not see much snow! 🙂 ~Tori

Looks like you got as much as we did here in Michigan. Most has melted…but there is surely LOTS more to come. We had better bust out the shovels. 😉
