Merry Hot Cocoa Gift! * WT247

Hooooraaaaaaaaaay!  I noticed this week’s Ways to Use It Challenge (WT247) at SCS, and knew just what I wanted to do!  The challenge was to create a tag, or a card with a tag on it, etc.  It all starts with the tag.  Typically, I like to make a lot of Christmas tags ahead of wrapping, but for this challenge, I had ‘ingredients’ already sitting around the studio, just waiting for their turn to become a ‘real’ project.  So, I pulled this earlier ‘thought’ into reality.

RN tag Flourishbg 367×550

The tag was designed to coordinate with the wintery cocoa mug, which is filled with individual packets of cocoa mix and a little baggie of mini-marshmallows.  Colors were chosen from the mug’s colors of wintery blue & white, while the teeny bit for the sentiment follows the cocoa packets within the mug.   What’s that background on the tag?  That’s a simple version of faux bleaching.  I’m planning to explain that here ‘next year’ as a tutorial … of course, next year is practically knocking at the door …. wow!

Tex’s Tip:  The white flower was smeared with Glossy Accents (clear dimensional adhesive), then dusted with light blue glitter.  It dried very quickly because of the light ‘smearing’ application.

Just for an added touch of elegance, I added silver embossing to the outer edges.  If you need a quicker tag, skip the embossing, and just add your embellishments and ribbons and move along to the next gift!   I hope you enjoy, and perhaps have found a bit of inspiration today!  The new weekend is upon us, and there are likely many more preparations to be made for the upcoming celebration of the birth of Jesus!  I hope you find yourself blessed!
