Double-Doozie! * A Day of Blessings * Visions of Stardust & Santa!

Double-Doozie?  It’s time for a rare-from-me ‘double-post’ today!   I have so much to share … so here goes!

“A Day of Great Blessings”

It was on Easter Sunday that my immediate family learned that we were ‘expecting’ a new baby, supposedly in about 2 weeks.  As you know, “timing” can be surprising on its own, and two days later I was taking two ‘big’ brothers (well … really little boys, depending on your viewpoint) to the zoo while their new baby sister was being born … on her oldest brother’s 5th birthday!  … …

Fast forward … …

Yesterday, our family was blessed to assemble in a Ft. Worth courtroom to witness the official adoption finalization for my first g’daughter, Noelle!

Noelle & GmaLois 392×450

The judge was so kind …. she invited the g’parents to be right up there at the bench with Noelle, her mommy & daddy, both “big” brothers, and the sweetest attorney.   I could have kissed that judge for bringing all of us to the bench to truly “hear” and to be a part of this most special proceeding.  The judge talked to each of us, each of the little guys, and had a big stuffed puppy for Noelle. The bailiff had a super blinkie magic wand to wave at picture time, designed to get the little ones to look & smile.  (If you struggle with how to get a group of little ones to look up & grin during photos, this was a genius tool/toy!)   What an awesome, wonderful day of God’s blessings!

~

Thanks for your tolerance, friends  …. I’m tickled pink!  (I guess you figured that out already, eh?)

Visions of Stardust & Santa!

Here’s a new Christmas creation using one of my favorite new Rubbernecker Stamps sets this year.  Inspiration for this card comes from the Featured Stamper challenge (FS148) at Splitcoaststampers this week.  Congratulations, Michelle (mitchygitchygoomy)!

RN Snwflks Strdst FS148 545×499

The stamp set includes a 3-step Christmas tree which allows the choice of multi-colors, a little or a lot of embossing, glitz, etc., and such an easy ‘line-up’ of the 3 images … it’s truly one of the easiest 3-step stamps that I have ever used.   The clear acrylic blocks are all you need … no Stamp-a-ma-jig or similar line-up device required … and believe me, I do use the SAMJ whenever I feel the need.   (Yep …. chicken here …. cluck, cluck, cluck!)..     😉

The ‘stardust’ stamp was embossed with gold ep, to coordinate with the Graphic 45 papers, and to add a touch of elegance.   The square tag is actually a tag from the same collection of papers, layered on C/S and added to the bottom of the main image.  I have so enjoyed using these papers this season.  I’m definitely looking forward to seeing Graphic 45’s upcoming collections next month at CHA in Anaheim, CA.   Will I possibly see you there?

Thanks so much for stopping by today, everyone!  I’m smiling as I schedule & write this post … My wish for you is to find much joy and blessings in your day today.   Savor every little bit!

~Bev

She’s so beautiful, Bev! I’m so excited that everything is official now, even though she’s been “yours” since the moment you knew about her! I read all about this on Jess’s blog but couldn’t comment there, because I was tearing up so much. This is just the most wonderful thing, especially at this most special time of year. My heart is so full for your whole family!
