Color Throwdown 100th Party!!

Wooohooooooooooooo!!  The Color Throwdown girls are havin’ a great big party to celebrate their 100th Color Throwdown challenge!  I decided to play along not once, but twice …….

Wait a minute …. that means I would have to do a “double-post!   Oh my … many of you might know that I’m not commonly a ‘double-poster’ … but I can do it for special times like this!    😉

For the first entry, I’m going back to those ‘groovy’ days with my Our Craft Lounge stamps, “Flower Power”.   (Shhhhhhh!  I’ve got a few fav songs from that era …   There was actually a song that included this sentiment as part of the lyrics … and I can almost “hear” it now … not too fast, not too slow.  Sweet!)  I used a couple of slivers from the Basic Grey paper for the inside, as well as two more images from this ‘faaaaar out’ stamp set.

Next up is a very simple card using a favorite Rubbernecker stamp of mine.

Many times this stamp is placed ‘inside’ a card, but I adore the look when it gets ‘center stage’ focus on the front.  For a little extra pizzaz, I’ve heat embossed it.  In order to get all four of the challenge colors in this one, I used buttons to bring in the rose pink element.    This one is based on this week’s sketch challenge, SC288 at Splitcoaststampers.   My original goal was to keep this one very clean & simple.  It might be just a smidge past CAS, but I guess that’s up to our own interpretations.  It would be pretty quick to duplicate for your card stash.

We’re all invited to play along in the Color Throwdown celebration!  You can check it out right here, and join in the fun!  See you there!
