Blast from the Past Blog Hop!

GK cupcake tppr 590×81

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!  It’s a “Blast from the Past” blog hop tonight!  The Gina K team has gathered together this week to share some ideas for some of Gina’s favorite sets from “the past”, and tonight, I’m tickled pink to share some goodies from the “Sweetest Blessings“.  Plus … Jessica Fick has created a terrific card-making kit that will come free with this set … featuring some of the items you’ll see along the blog hop tonight!

First, I just had to sample the cupcake, with yummy, colorful icing … Mmmmmmm!  Of course it “needed” a custom (paper-pieced) cupcake wrapper plus a juicy ‘bing cherry’ on top!   And those image layers?   This week over at Stamp TV, Gina K has shared some great ideas on layering Nesties.   😉

Next, I was tempted to creat a ‘chocolate’ cake, with sweet pink dots.

I had so much fun with the Stickles dots on the icing that I carried them over to random spots on the Basic Grey dsp for some extra fun & dimension.   Swiss Dots cuttlebugging on the left side of the card continues the dotted theme.

Special Note!  The entire GinaK Designs team would like to invite you to the virtual Release party we’ll be having tonight (Thursday, August 5th) on StampTV.  It will be a bit different than our usual release party, but we’ll still have challenges, contest questions, and designer samples that you won’t want to miss out on!  See you there for all the fun!
