CKC – Tulsa! A First!
Hey, hey there, friends!
I’ve just returned from a most delightful experience that I’d like to share … literally a “first” in more than one way! Last Thursday, my DD (darling daughter) and I drove up & out of Texas, through miles & miles of one-lane only I-35 in Oklahoma, through OKC, then on to Tulsa. Our destination? … the Creating Keepsakes Convention (CKC) … truly a “first” for both of us … a few days together … just the two of us!
Jessica was scheduled to teach classes for PaperCrafts on both Friday & Saturday, teaching classes of up to 45 students. And me? I’m still smiling from ear-to-ear for many reasons. It was my first opportunity to watch her teaching in action. Needless to say, my only photos of the entire end-of-week CKC Convention, are of her classes! LOL … I was truly tickled to be able to assist in the classes, and in all truth, I now would adore the opportunity to attend future CKC Conventions. What a splendid place for inspiration, classes and shopping! WOW! One of the funniest things occured when we went to dinner with some fun folks from Utah … … they wanted to dine at “Texas Roadhouse“. We all had a LOL together over that. Then, during one hour on Saturday, there were two very nice volunteers in Jessica’s class, so I did take the opportunity to slip into a cool class by Kelly Purkey … … Another treat … and another fabulous teacher for sure. If you have the opportunity to attend one of her classes, you will be glad that you did.
It’s probably a very good thing that Jessica & I had only the final 40+ minutes to visit & shop the vendor faire on closing day …. a verrrry good limit for my wallet! hahaha Our only chance to get some actual, meaningful sleep time has been since our return home. But …. every moment was worth it! (Starbucks, you are sooooo good!) So, if you have ever wondered, “Would I really enjoy attending a CKC (Creating Keepsakes Convention) … even though I primarily stamp cards and other projects? I give a full-hearted “Yes, oh yes!”

Congrats to Jessica! I am so glad I meet her before she has became the stamping superstar that she is now. Missing you, Miss Bev! Our little one is 13 months old, learning to walk and growing like a weed. She is a constant joy in our life.

Just look at Ms Jessica Witty! Wow, just think … Jessica is your daughter. Oh, you must be so proud. Glad you had such a great time, Tex.

YAY Mama Bear…. Obivously you got some GREAT Genetics… just look at your baby girl now!!!! TOTALLY PROUD of you BOTH!!!!!!
HURRAY!!!!!! CKC is RARE in my neck o the woods, and yes, shy aways from due to scrapbooking…. but I may take a second look next time it comes to Portland OR
