Joyful Santa!!

I’ve chosen to participate in a couple of Splitcoaststampers challenges with this card, and you’re more than welcome to check’em out for your own creative efforts!

This week’s sketch challenge, SC320, seemed just right for one of the newest additions to my stamp collection from Rubbernecker Stamps. Then, one of the Hope You Can Cling To challenges, HYCCT06, encourages us to use both something “old” from our stampin’ stash, along with something “new” to our collection! Ding, Ding, Ding!! This was an easy fit for me! (Gotta love the “E-Z” ones … oh yeah!) You’re most welcome to play along .. just click on the provided links!
I’ve added several goodies to this card .. including Santa’s frothy beard, courtesy of Liquid Applique with OCL’s Crafty Sparkles added atop before drying/poofing the applique medium. For the wonderful white fluff on Santa’s coat & hat, I’ve used Sparkly Fluff from Our Craft Lounge … gotta love that sparkle! The snowdrift beneath Santa’s boots is provided by Flower Soft – Polar White. The raised dots beneath the image layer are actually dry pressure embossed with my newest Cuttlebug embossing folder. Ooooooooooh such fun to include so many ways to add texture to our creations!! The text has been emphasized with a lemon glitter pen from Spica, and the sentiment banner was hand-cut to fit.
