Here we go!
I opted to create a project that I “want” for “me”!   I know … maybe a little selfish … but I am so blessed to have  4 Grands that are the sunshine in my heart.    So I started with a ‘must-have’ Big Shot and favorite Sizzix Bigz die by Tim Holtz.  (Oh .. Did you know that this cuts through chipboard like it was paper?!  Cool!)  The 4 back pieces of the frames are each 2 layers of chipboard, painted with acrylic paint to coordinate with the papers.   Tex’s Tip:  Ladies, recycle those chipboard backings in your fav paper packs!  You & your Big Shot are going to love’em!   The photos are adhered to the chipboard backs, while the scrapbook papers are lifted with dimensional tape for depth.  Ovals were cut with my always-handy Spellbinders Wizard & Spellbinders dies.   Paper layers are so easy using the Xyron … and little pieces such as the skinny oval accent around the photos fits perfectly in my Xyron Create-A- Sticker!
~
~
I’ve included 4 close-ups to allow a better view of the continued simplicity across all frames.  Each of the 4 smaller photos will enlarge if you’ll click on them for a better peek.  Admittedly, I started out with a list of probable choices for embellishments … and then I realized that I’m working with 3 little men and only one little lady!  Uh-ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh … I have no intention of being the Mimi in the Doghouse, if you get the idea!!  So the plan was revised and simplified.  (Still there is ribbon … yes … I resorted to ribbon.)  The medallions are all hand-made of paper scraps.
~
I hope you’ve enjoyed the Scrap-Mart blog hop so far!  There are still a few more stops along the hop in order to qualify for a chance at the uber-cool Grand Prize!  I’m tickled to have spent a bit of time with you today, and truly hope that you leave inspired in some way.   Best Wishes and Good Luck to each of you!
