Because ….

Welcome to the brand new week, my friends!

I’m starting my stamping week off with the latest FS challenge from Splitcoaststampers, FS201.   Seems like I never tire of heat embossing, and today’s creation employs heat embossing, followed by emboss resist, so this one easily reached out to me.  Honestly, the trickiest part of this process is simply the heat embossing.  Adding color atop is easy-peasy!  If you haven’t tried it, I encourage you to add it to your ‘must do’ stamping list.

I’ve stamped the Wildflower image in black pigment ink, followed by clear embossing powder.   Tex’s Tip:  I much prefer clear ep over black pigment ink rather than black ep.   Black ep often “spreads” when other inks are applied, while this doesn’t happen with clear embossing powders.   In today’s card, I’ve applied Distress Inks atop the embossed image with sponges / Inkssentials ink applicators to create a version of sunrise.   A variety of inks could be (probably will be) used to create various themes for my future stash versions of this card.  I’m seeing it as ‘thanks’, ‘birthdays’, ‘hello’, ;miss you’, as well as ‘just because’.   If you’re inspired, suit your needs that day!

I know that this is a very busy time of year.  If you’re blogging & blurfing, I thank you for your time spent here, as well as for your efforts in commenting.   What a time of hustle & bustle for many of us!   Todays blustery cold winds truly brought in the sounds and cold temps of winter here.  Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!  Wishing warmth and happiness to each of you this week!
