Hi everyone! It’s a brand new year, and I have brand new “news” to share with you! It’s my pleasure to announce that I’ve been selected as one of the 2011 Design Team members for Outlines Rubber Stamps! It’s my honor to be working with some wildly talented stampers as well as being able to present these beautiful and distinctive rubber stamps. Our team will be joining together each Monday to share projects and inspiration with you, so please be sure to check weekly for more to stir your creativity from the brand new team at Outlines! This line-up of talent includes:

I chose one of the beautiful mandala stamps, “Mandala 3”, for our first joint blog share. At first glance it may look difficult … but honestly, this is sooooooo simple!
All I’ve done is stamp the image twice with watermarking ink, then heat embossed both with gold embossing powder. Small linear areas were given simple copic color to coordinate with my chosen rose cardstock.
The embossed lines make cutting the sharp angles very easy.
The top three layers were simply cut from the middle of the lower two layers. Add some dimensional foam tape, while layering, and …
tah-daaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!
The card is 5.25″ square, using smooth ivory and textured rose cardstocks. A simple edge of gold was added for simple elegance, and this one is ready to go!
I hope you’ll check out the rest of our new team’s blogs today, and every Monday! Please let us know your thoughts as we hope to inspire you in many creative ways. Thanks so much for your visit!

I love mandalas, and your fabulous creation makes me love them even more! They always look so hard to do in the beginning, and then once you start cutting it goes together so smoothly. I love the gold on this particular design…it really makes it look so exquisite!
