Make It Metallic! Outlines #6 is Here!

***********************************************

Make it Metallic!  That’s the theme the Outlines team has been given as our challenge this week, featuring Liquid Metal Acrylic Paint.   This product comes in very generous 4 oz. jar, so there’s plenty of paint for larger alteration projects than what I’ve prepared for today.   Once I began sampling ideas with the paint, I was simply inspired to keep the entire project in the simple elegance of silver & white.

****

This is simply a pair of 4″ chipboard coasters painted with Silver Liquid Metal.  After wrapping the ribbon & lace around the front coaster, red-line tape was used to tightly adhere the 2nd coaster to the back in ‘sandwich’ style.  Ribbon ends are secure and out of sight, inside that ‘sandwich’.

Sparkle Butterfly – H801 was stamped once on vellum cardstock, and again on white cardstock.  Both were silver heat embossed, then trimmed.   The back of the cardstock butterfly was lightly sponged with silver metallic paint,  just in the event the recipient takes a peek under the wings.   ( Not sure if I should I call that my ‘ohhhhh picky’ moment or not, but it only took a few seconds!)    😉     Little Ice White – Viva Decor Pearl Pen “pearls” enhance the cardstock wings and the butterfly body as well.  (Smaller photos enlarge with a mouse click .. then return with your ‘back’ button.)

The sentiment is from Posy Greeting Centers – F-1049 and was easily silver embossed then punched out to affix to a stacked sheer & corded bow.    Remember that Cropadile you had to have ?   Dust it off to punch two holes at the top for a short ribbon as the hanger.   Tex’s Tip:  If you’re making one of these, why not make 2 … so the sharing can go a little farther?

I sure hope you like this one!   I welcome you to check out the blogs from my team colleagues for even more ‘Make it Metallic’ inspiration:  Jeanne Streiff, Jenny Gropp, Lisa Silver, Robin Kirkpatrick, Sandy Hulsart, & Vicki Garrett.
