Make It Manly! * Monday Outlines’ Challenge

Published by at 4:00 am under Air-brushing,Outlines Rubber Stamps

That’s right!   We’ve been challenged to “Make It Manly“!

And so for once … I went to “my” manly source = DH.

Previously … …  and also 99.9% of the time … …

I simply choose my own ‘manly/masculine’ way to approach a challenge/card/project, then proceed on my own instincts.

Surely, many stampers/papercrafters follow the same initial approach … … right?

Not this time, stampers!

We have a “manly opinion” for this one!   My hubby was presented with 4 dsp paper pad choices for the backgrouding of my card.  His choices were from 4 differing paperpads, with various color schemes that most paper-crafters would definitely offer as “masculine” choices.   His unanimous selections were from the “Basic Grey – Basics Kraft Paper Pad” … with his comment of “Why is everything in brown?!” …. the comment was uttered “after” he realized how much he admired that particular paper pad.     So who am I to argue with my limited “test”?

The sentiment is from my frequent favorite, Posy Greeting Centers   F-1949” ( as I write … this set is 20% off! ). Stamped with Archival Jet Black ink onto white c/s, it was airbrushed with Copic E41, then diecut & layered before adhering to the twill.  The sentiment edges were dotted with Viva Decor Pearl Pens – Gold for a minimal bit of embellishment.

Are you ready for even more inspiration today???   Please feel welcome to check out my Design Team colleagues’ blogs:  Jeanne Streiff, Jenny Gropp, Lisa Silver, Robin Kirkpatrick, Sandy Hulsart, & Vicki Garrett.

Here’s to a fabby new week, to you and to all!

  5. Love your story of hubby’s help. I ask my hubby for his opinion on virtually every card…not always happy with what he has to say, but I ask! Yours did a terrific job picking out the paper and you did a terrific job creating a masculine card!
