What’s Been Going On? + a little hint!
Goodness, friends! What’s been going on out there?!
I know a few have been asking that of me lately. After Spring came & went in just a couple of days around here, Summer swooped in with 
record-breaking heat, and things here in Tex’s Studio seemed to slow down to snail’s pace! 
<<< That’s a pretty fair characterization of me this Summer. I had such a terrific night last night, that I decided I need share a bit of the “funner” side of living here in the metroplex area near Dallas-Ft. Worth. So where do you suppose a “watch-the-majority-of-TX-Rangers-games-on-TV-kinda-gal” would really “rather” be on those nights????
That’s right!! The Ballpark in Arlington, home of the Texas Rangers! (Yep … I should have taken a pic of the gorgeous exterior, but I thought I had one saved …. well … it’s hiding if it’s still here. Blame Murphy!
Anyway, here’s a view from the outfield as fans were beginning to arrive. When one doesn’t enter at the correct gate for their seats … they get to “walk” and see more & more of the park! haha

Psssssssssst! Yes, my photos will enlarge when you click on them throughout the post. Am I saving the space so you won’t think it’s so long? I’m not really sure, but I’ll give this a try as opposed to my normal larger photos being right in the script. 🙂
Along the way to our seats, we spotted the staging area for Fox Sports Southwest! I watch their pre-game & some post-game shows, so it was cool to watch them in action for the pre-game show. The sportscaster on the right was once a local television sports anchor here in the 
DFW area. Glad to see he’s got a larger audience now!~
Time for the traditional presentation of the flag. I’m so happy to report that here in the ballpark, we still cover our hearts during the National Anthem, and yes, the players stand with their ballcaps over their hearts as well. (Yes. … I take serious issue with those who would seek to discard or disclaim patriotism, God, and country!) And yes, I did have hot dogs at the game! hahaha Can’t have baseball without ball park hot dogs!! 95% of the rest of the time, I’ll 
choose a cheeseburger … but not here.
Like most fans, I do have my top favorites, but I enjoy the entire team so much that to name any particular faves online just doesn’t seem fair. I truly do yell for all of them, because they see themselves as a team unit, and therefore play like it’s always a team effort. No one here seeks to be “the” big star, and it shows in their work together.
Here’s Elvis Andrus at bat, while Endy Chavez waits to 
run from 3rd base. Later I witnessed a home run by Michael Young, and the most amazing outfielding by Josh Hamilton! One of the fans kept yelling, “I love you Josh!” **shaking my head** No, it wasn’t me!
During the 7th inning, I received a text message from daughter, Jessica, saying, “The Rangers are ahead! I know because we’re here at the game!” 
What is this??? I called her right back while we’re all singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” (7th inning stretch). Incredibly, she & her hubby plus two of her 3 littles were in the very next section over! I told her I was waving my red Rangers pompoms, and the spotted me! 
So, for the rest of the game, it was seen with G’sons Eli & Zeke! Much, much fun. But, I put my camera away to keep it from getting banged around with the extra footsteps. *wink*
All in good time, the Rangers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays, 7 – 2! We all walked out to the parking areas together, with smiles and good memories of a family night out the ballgame! Can hardly wait for another … … Go TX Rangers!! TexasGrammy is your fan!

I almost felt like I was right there with you, Bev!! Such great fun, and it’s awesome that Jessica and her family were there as well!! BIG bonus!! Thanks for sharing your fun, and I can’t wait to hear your big news!! ☺
