Got Candy?! * TTC22

Simplify is the name of my game currently, as Summer has brought so many people & places & activities into my world.  I chose ‘candy2share’ from The Stamps of Life for this card.  I adore those old-time-looking suckers with the cord handle, and chose colors that seemed close to the photo inspiration.  Simple times three! Although the shimmer isn’t showing up well here, the images are stamped on shimmery white cardstock.

I wanted to include the idea of cellophane enclosures for the suckers, and went with a cellophane bag for the set of three.  The top of the “bag” was cut with my Chevron Die Set from The Stamps of Life.    In my attempts to avoid too much cellophane ‘glare’, I sacrificed the ability to show off the shimmery cardstock.   Remember what I said earlier?   Simplify …. so I’m moving on.   😉  (Just click the photos to see a larger version.)

I like the way the simple candy sucker image allowed me to color & create a quick card with only four markers.   In the centers of the suckers, I applied a couple of extra ‘layers’ of color with the marker, allowing a wee bit of drying time in between the layers.  I did use a 0 Colorless Blender on the one in the center, and played with color layers and a lighter pressure for gradation on the outer two suckers.

    Love the colors of the lollipops and how you used the cellophane wrapper over the top. Very cool!
