Dare to Get Dirty! * DTGD12TexasGrammy

HHey, hey stampy & crafty friends!  There’s a great new challenge in town this week … Dare to Get Dirty!   Actually it isn’t ‘achallenge, it’s lots & lots of challenges!

Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net If you aren’t familiar with the annual SCS Dare to Get Dirty challenges, just click here for the details to help you get started!  It’s definitely a fun week of great stamping challenges, and …. we have loads of prizes for participants awaiting!

Me?  I’ve been creating instead of blogging, so now it’s time to get busy sharing here with you!

~

First up is my creation for my very own DTGD challenge … DTGD12TexasGrammy!  Since the DTGD’s are created as a “thank you” to the SCS fan club members, the details for each challenge are found within the DTGD challenge threads.

I have some well-loved, favorite stamps in my collection … and I just “had” to use a few of them here.  The stamps are from Outlines Rubber Stamps.  The flower stamps were heat embossed in black before cutting, and the background was dry pressure embossed with my brand new SU embossing folder.  First time it was used, and it’s on shimmery Poison Ivory cardstock.   Other papers include SU Basic Gray + Cherry Cobbler + Very Vanilla (doily) + retired SU dsp (leaves) and  I’d be tickled if you’ll please come join in my challenge!

Next up …. a DTGD12SweetMissDaisy sample!

Can you figure out what this challenge is all about?   LOL    It could very well be near & dear to your heart … depending.   😉  This challenge is hostessed by the multi-fabby-talented Anna Wight, a.k.a. Sweet Miss Daisy!     This sweet stamp is from the ‘Cute Cats #2’ stamp set by Inky Antics.  Papers include SU Rich Razzleberry, More Mustard, & Very Vanilla.  My Touch Twin Markers brought kitty to paper-life.  😉   Markers colors used:  Touch Twins Y36, Y41, YR32, YR31, BR101, RP196, GG1.  Color map appearing soon!

If you know my blog very well, you know that I rarely do multiple projects in a single post.   That’s just my way of “moving on” to the next thing on my “list”.  You know the “list” … right?   I’m thinking most of us have one of those ever-morphing shadowy things.   Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net Well, surprise!!!   Here’s a 3rd project today!   (Now, where is my notable calendar?!!)

DTGD12suzannejdean

This challenge is brought to us by the oh-so-talented & delightful Suzanne Dean, a.k.a. suzannejdean over at SCS.  Back to one of my long-favorite techniques for this one … heat embossing!    This great sentiment stamp is a part of  ‘phrases2say‘ from The Stamps of Life.  I reached back into a well-protected little stash of metallic cardstocks for this one, including Brushed Copper + Cappuchino, paired with a copper embossing powder & VersaMark ink.

I hope you’re inspired by something I’ve shared today!   Hopefully you know by now that you are happily invited to join us over at Splitcoaststampers for this week’s Dare to Get Dirty fun!  Yaaaaahoooooooooooooooooooooo!!
