Good Friday * Resurrection Cookies

Published by at 12:31 pm under About

Good morning, friends.

My thoughts are filled with the true meaning of yesterday being Good Friday and tomorrow being Easter Sunday.  For Christians around the world, this is a most heartfelt time of reflection and thankfulness … and yes, on Sunday, absolute joy as well.   At this time we honor the day that Christ was nailed to the cross and crucified, shedding his blood for the sins of His believers.   And, on the third day, Easter, Jesus arose from His tomb, defeating death!  His tomb was found to be empty!

Take a look at this wonderful way to share the surprise of the empty tomb.   I spotted this recipe on Facebook, posted by Proverbs 31 Ministries and knew immediately that many people might really enjoy this edible & tangible way to visualize the empty space.     😉

The recipe is from the website, MotherhoodOnADime.com .

As shared by Proverbs 31 Ministries:   “From Good Friday thru Easter, here is a way to get the kids involved in a great object lesson that involves scripture. The kids will open the oven Easter morning to find hollow cookies- a reminder that the tomb is empty! (from today’s His Radio)”
Here’s the direct link for the printable recipe!

Blessings to each of you!
