September? Really? Stamp Shows & Changes

Published by at 4:13 pm under About,Cool Stuff!,Events,Inky Antics

Hello Cyber, Crafty, Stampy Friends!     Whoa … It’s September, no, mid-September already!

It’s definitely time to get y’all caught up with the recent days & weeks behind Savor the Journey.

“You’re off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So… get on your way!”
Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

The best part of 2013 is the fact that I have been blessed this Spring & Summer with traveling to various stamping & scrapping conventions with Inky Antics, and Inky’s sister companies, Darcie’s, Stampers Anonymous, and Art Gone Wild.

Oooooh, here are a few of the places I’ve been and the friends I’ve seen!

The re-route through Washington D.C.’s Dulles Airport was a complete surprise, and yes, it was my first, and so far only, visit to the D.C. area.   Since bad weather was affecting flights across the USA, this was an effort to return to DFW on the planned date, rather than sleeping in an airport!

It has literally been years since I last saw the beautiful mother & daughter stampers, Dawn Lusk and Amber Hillman.  What a surprise to find them working at Cincinnati’s Stampaway show!  Why I didn’t get a picture of just the two of them together is a question that I cannot answer.  … sigh …

The Stampaway show in Cincinnati, OH was one of the most fun-filled shows I’ve attended or worked.  With convention set up followed by classes & booth openings on the very same evening, it’s practically a non-stop show as well!  Little did I know that the first night of the show is their annual “hat night”!   My Texas Longhorn balloon hat was courtesy of the bestest balloon artist I have ever seen.   I think everyone had a fabby-fun time!

Hampton, VA (<<click for info) is next on my stampy travel agenda, coming up on October 26 & 27.   If you’re planning to attend the show, please do come by the Art Gone Wild booth and say “Hi”!

From Millan.Net So there you have it … the best parts of 2013, so far, for Savor the Journey.    Big changes are taking place behind the scenes here, as I’ve stepped down from all regular design teams, and will focus more on teaching classes here in my home studio in the suburbs north of Dallas.   I sure hope you’ll join me !

Happy Trails!
