Gold in the Forest!
Actually, the “Gold in the Forest” is just an artsy thought. Being in the northern part of Texas … I definitely do not have a forest nearby. And generally the only “gold” in these parts is found in the multitude of sunflowers during the heart of hot summers. 😉
Bits of inspiration apparently all added up this week, as 3 SCS challenges are combined into this single creation. That’s definitely not my usual M.O. So, just for the sake of recording such little oddities here in the studio, this combines SC465 (sketch challenge), WT456 (stamp atop script or score dsp), and F4A198 (use holly or greenery).
It all started with the sketch, and my desire to pull out some retired Stampin’ Up! holiday stamps. Of course the tree image seemed to insist on being gold embossed, so there you have it! Not having SU holly stamps just meant that my favorite pine bough got to ink up in pigment Always Artichoke to play atop the subtle musical score paper. Stampin’ Up! used to offer a gold & silver paint pen, and I still enjoy the glam look it brings … I just had to use that on the edges of the vanilla layer. 😉
~~ As you know, much of the USA is plowing (or not!) through a very wintery weather episode. Yep! It’s here! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Hope to see you again soon! Thanks a bunch for having stopped by to say “Howdy”!
