Mixed & Crisp Thank You!

Welcome to this brand new week, stampy friends!

Today I’m sharing a card I made for the Splitcoaststampers inspiration challenge, IC490.  Inspiration was taken from a pinterest board that features stamps … but the pins are of ‘postage’ stamps.  I actually found a slight few that I have in my studio!  Since I do not have Disney-themed rubber stamps in the stampin’ zone … I had to go with florals.  Thus, I chose a retiring floral set that I’m definitely going to miss … Mixed Bunch.

Coloring just wasn’t of interest to me this day, so I opted for a stamp set that would ‘do the coloring’ for me.  To create some depth & contrast, the first layer of my dimensional blossom was stamped with Calypso Coral.  It’s a wonderful companion to the retiring Crisp Cantaloupe.  Alas, the coordinating Blossom Punch is retiring as well.  Since all petals are the same, it’s a super-easy punch to line up correctly every time.   The center of the blossom was stamped with Crushed Curry and punched with the 7/8″ Scalloped Punch.  The same flower-center stamp was stamped several times on the card base … I love it when images from a stamp set nicely double as backgrounding!

Every die on this card is retiring!  The On Film framelits are on the list, as well as the Bitty Banners framelits that so perfectly coordinate with the retiring Itty Bitty Banners stamp set.  I just might have to keep those, as the small size can be “juuuuust right” at times!

If you have favorite designer series papers … scoop them up now, as they are retiring.  My leaves are from Confetti Celebration dsp and the framed dsp is from the Sweet Dreams collection.

Special Reminder:  the Stampin’ Up! Retirement sale includes savings of up to 50% off!

My Fishy Valentine!

I have a heart-shaped ‘fishbowl’ to share with you today!

I couldn’t keep this idea on hold any longer.   Does that ever happen to you?  After several days of ignoring the fishbowl thought, it finally had to get expressed in paper & inks … and window sheets.

To create the heart “frame”, I laid 2 heart dies on Calypso Coral cardstock and rolled all through the Big Shot.  Then the colored image and window sheet were each cut separately, using the larger heart die from the ‘frame’.  Dry adhesives work best with Window Sheets, and in this case I recommend Snail or Fast Fuse.  Just be careful not to place the adhesive within the area that is visible from the front view.

Little Rhinestone Jewels were colored with one of  the Bermuda Bay Blendabilities before using them as sparsely placed bubbles.  The fishies were colored with a variety of Blendabilities for colorful fun.  And that cute paper that seems to be “splashy”?   It’s from the charming Birthday Bash 12″x12″ collection found in the Occasions catalog.  Perfect colors to cheer up this gray Winter weather!

Remember!  During Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-A-Bration, each $50 in product earns a free item of your choice! There’s no limit on the free goodies, so it’s a perfect time to finish your color collection in inks or cardstocks or to add on always-fun new stamps.  Please let me know how I can be of help to you as your demonstrator.  I’m always just an email away!

You Made My Day!

Today is the day set aside as a special “Thank You for a Great Year!” event for my customers here in the studio!  2014 was a terrific year, and I’m definitely looking forward to sharing & stamping with all of you during 2015!  I’m so fortunate to have a “job” that I love, and it happens to include finding new ‘friends I hadn’t met yet’ all along the way.  You’ve helped me to stretch as a business woman during 2014, and my goal is now set to reach a new promotion that I have only admired-from-afar previously.  So ….

Thank you big bunches, m’friends!!!

In a perfect world, all of you would be here today to collect your “Thank You” {{{{hugggsss}}}} in person.  T’would be sweet indeed. However, you’re welcome to join us during the new year … my class calendar is always available via my official SU website calendar.   If you don’t see just what you need, you are very welcome to suggest or ask!

Guests were invited to bring and share their favorite paper crafted creations today, whether or not they made them as a result of a class here. What was I thinking without having a camera at hand?? ***How do you spell … FLUB?!***

Just one stamping project for today, with a totally appropriate sentiment.

Sale-A-Bration begins in a mere TWO more days (Tuesday!) … and this fun sentiment will be found in the “Best Day Ever” stamp set. You can’t “buy” this set, but you can receive 1 new item for FREE from the Sale-A-Bration brochure for every $50 spent on any Stampin’ Up! order!  The ‘Best Day Ever’ stamp set is one of the free choices.

1 bow clsp IMG_6402 475

See that darling little bow? It is oh-so-easy to make with the awesome new Bow Builder Punch from the new Occasions Catalog!

This bow example is a mere 2 1/4″ long, and is created with the cool new ‘Birthday Bash‘ 12″x12″ designer series paper, also found in the Occasions catty, available on Tuesday, January 6.

Even though the stamp says, “You made my day” … you’ve all actually “made my year” … and I thank you bunches!

I have some new things coming up during 2015.  You’re certainly invited to join in!  Happy New Year, everyone!
