Counting Sheep! Zzzzzzzzzzzz!

Counting Sheep 540

Over the past few months, I have accidentally become more of a night owl than is healthy.  I tend to do a lot of my design work after the world around me is “still” and at rest.   Now, I’m in that tricky stage of trying to “un-break” that habit.   Hmmmmm …. it’s not nearly as easy as it might seem to you.   Knowing this, perhaps it makes sense that this card is one of the first things that came to mind as I previously worked with this cute lamb stamp from the new “Springtime” set from Hanna Stamps

I’ve used a Word Art technique for the sentiment on this card.  I have seen my friend and Hanna Design Team member, Kendra Weitstock, use this technique before, and now she Counting Sheep closeup 500has an easy tutorial within an article on her blog, Paper Dreams.  Check it out to learn how to print text in a nifty circle shape!  Thank you for sharing this again, Kendra!

Once again, the lambs are fluffy and soft due to white Fun Flock from eclectic Paperie!  This product is soooo easy to use!  Just use your Quickie Glue Pen to apply glue to the image, sprinkle on the Fun Flock, press it into the glue with your finger, and allow to dry!   Voila’!  A fluffy & soft texture that is not only visible, but very tangible!  (Click on small image for larger view.)  I have also cut out the 3 “forward” lambs plus some of the “grass” clumps, and lifted them up from the cardstock with foam dimensional adhesive.   In reality, there is more visual dimension than what is accurately shown in the photo.    1, 2, 3, 4, …. I think I’m getting sleeeeepppyyyyyy …..

Tex – those lambs are adorable!

When you figure out how to switch your sleeping schedule, could you let me know? I’ve been trying unsuccessfully for months now, but then, I’ve never been a good sleeper to begin with.

what a cute card!! how about trying to get into a ‘relaxing’ mode with a warm bath, a glass of wine & soft music and go to bed without distractions like the t.v.? I hope it works soon, because lack of sleep can age you, you really need your sleep.
