Remembering 9-11 * Falling For You! * SC193
With great respect, I’m remembering the tragedy that struck our beloved United States on September 11, 2001. Like so many of us, I clearly remember where I was when I first learned about the tragic events. After being privately advised at school, I was one of many teachers in our school that taught the rest of the day while trying to maintain the proper composure for teaching, yet also trying to internally comprehend the events of the morning. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of all who were involved, whether directly or indirectly. May God continue to bless America.
Here I am, wishing I had thought of this card last week for our wedding anniversary. Oh well … maybe I could save it for next year if I print something like, “Still falling for you after all these years!” When I first opened this “Jump for Joy” set from Hanna Stamps, I was drawn to this stamp of a pile of leaves. While Fall in Texas doesn’t necessarily color our local landscapes with dazzling color every year, I have been privileged to savor the visual treats of Fall from time to time. So, I actually enjoyed taking my time with coloring the leaf pile, along with some extra leaves for cutting and layering. After coloring, Eclipse tape enabled me to give the image layer a quick touch with my Copic Air Brush System without adding color to the images … I love that stuff!
My hubby and I had the sweet opportunity to babysit with two of our grandsons tonight. Our youngest little guy isn’t feeling his best, so we were called in on short notice … heh heh heh …. We enjoyed plenty of snuggles and giggles as well. Here’s hoping you have a terrific Thursday, and maybe even some of your own snuggles or giggles!
