“Sigh ….. boys!” ** A look back?
Ahhhhhhhhhh, remember those wonderful sleep-overs when we girls talked of boys, & boys, &, yes … boys?! This “Slumber Party” set lets us do just that … I have delightful old pics to prove the fun ‘we’ had! As an added touch of fun, this girl’s jammies are paper-pieced and her popcorn is really “fluffy” too … almost yummy!
I was happy to host the newest challenge in the SCS Hanna Forum, HSDRC1 = “Stitch It!” The challenge requirement is to use ”stitches”. Of course, you can choose to use hand stitching, faux stitches, rub-on stitches, or machine stitching. Just stitch and post your creation to your SCS gallery by Monday, December 8, and also post the link to my challenge thread. Lot’s of time for you to get’r done. This card uses 4 of the 10 stamps included in this tween-teen-stylish set. I enjoy masking, and used it to prop up this sweet girl atop the separate pillow. The popcorn is looking freshly-popped thanks to liquid applique! I applied it little ‘dots’, shot it with the heat tool, and (after cooling) gave it a bit of color with a Copic marker. Yum!
Thanks to my multi-talented hubby, my mini sewing machine came back to the table for this card … and he even sat by to watch the results of his ‘help’. Maybe he’s my good-luck charm? Thanks, honey! I layered the sentiment atop a layer cut from my Spellbinders ‘Pinking Circles’.
