Copper Love!

RN Copper Love 450×304

Here’s a clean and simple Valentine for you today!  I was inspired to give this a try by Friday’s limited supplies challenge, LSC205 … … keep it clean and simple (CAS).  I often struggle with simplicity, yet I admire it and would love to master same.  So, challenges are a good thing in this respect!  Why don’t you join in?!

I chose shimmery ivory cardstock for the single-layered card.  First, cut the cardstock to 6″ square, scoring at 3″ for a 3″ X 6″ card.  This should fit in your open-end envelopes from SU.  Next, border punch one long edge of the card.  Now, wipe the card front with your embossing buddy, and stamp the image with Ranger Embossing Ink.  Pour on Copper embossing powder, tap off excess and heat emboss until just melted & smooth.

RN Copper Love 350×213For the inside, I continued with the clean & simple plan, adding a complimentary strip of bordered copper cardstock along the lower edge.  This really helps the front border to show up!  The sentiment was stamped with Ranger Embossing Ink, for just a watermark effect on the interior.

I’ve used loosely-tied sheer ivory ribbon to keep the card closed enough for the copper c/s to show through to the recipient.  It is easily slid off to the side for reading, and easily replaced due to its loosely knotted bow.   Yes … this one really is quick & easy … and worthy of duplication for your upcoming valentine needs!   It has a look of elegance, but it all comes together oh so easily!  I hope you enjoy!
