Easter Chick’s Happy Easter! * CC207
This sweet chickie brings wishes of a “Happy Easter” to everyone! This week’s color challenge (CC207) is a terrific challenge of Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie, & Summer Sun, concocted by Jenn & Beate this week. Great job, girlies! (They’re stampin’ together and celebrating friendship … the bestest kind of fun!) It seemed just perfect for this new rubber arrival to my stampin’ table.
Easter Chick’s grass was created with various stamps from the Kittie Kit Master 1. While the color challenge names Kiwi Kiss as the green, I used a ‘stamped off’ image from Old Olive as a replacement color. And just to add some punch and glam, I’ve added colored rhinestones to chickie’s hat and to the sign. These come with a sticky back, but I always put a teency dot of Glassy Glaze on the cardstock before using tweezers to apply the rhinestones. Then I feel assured that the stones will ‘travel’ well and arrive in place after postal handling.
~
I only had the 1/2″ width ribbon to match Kiwi Kiss … but I sure wish I had a wider version. Just goes to show that one can never ever have enough ribbon choices! Arrrrgh! Maybe someday the ribbon fairy will come to visit … but until then, I’ll ‘pretend’! *wink* The eency frosted glass tag was a “find’ at the recent Grapevine stamp show. Both Joan and I snatched up a couple of these choices … but I truly do not know what company to credit. Since I adore the greens of celery, kiwi, olive, and most in between, it was necessary for me to purchase these tags! I know you understand.
I hope you’re enjoying a sweet week! We found many things to smile about here today, and I hope that you do as well! Thanks for sharing a moment or two here! Remember to check out the continuing sale at Rubbernecker … all in preparation for new goodies ahead! And also remember that YOU are one of the reasons this world is filled with beautiful people!
