Sketchin’ on Wacky Wednesday! C’mon Along!

Published by at 2:24 am under Rubbernecker

Wooooooohooooooooooooo!!  It’s time for Wacky Wednesday #3!  Today our hostess is Tami Mayberry …. queen of the sketches!  Now why might you want to participate in Wacky Wednesday?  Well … every Wednesday we will present a new challenge for the week.  AND …. you’ll have the chance to win one of 3 gift certificates from Rubbernecker Stamps!  No kidding!  All you’ll need to do is link your gallery or blog creation to our Rubbernecker Wacky Wednesday post linked here!  This is Tami’s sketch challenge for us this week:  RN wwed sketch tami mar17

I’ve recently received some very ‘cool’ new stamps that I just had to play with for this challenge!  (A girl just cannot let “new rubber” sit idly by!)   I’ve kept pretty true to Tami’s sketch, except that I subbed a red ribbon bow for the 2nd square on the left side.  My sentiment is embossed along the right side in an upward fashion.  COOL! I’ve used a few of the ‘record’ stamps in monotone on the red cardstock for added backgrounding.    And that frothy root beer?  Well … it takes me back to the A&W Root Beer Drive in my Freshman college town of Weatherford, Oklahoma.  I hadn’t even ‘dreamed’ of such a drive-in while living in my tiny home-town … this was Up-Town living!   My kids would surely laugh out loud, if they weren’t already familiar with my sweet little home-town.  RN rootbeer ww3 540×452

I hope you enjoy my brief little trip through yesteryear USA!  Thanks for stopping by!  And I definitely invite you to pop on over to the Rubbernecker Blog to join in our Wacky Wednesday sketch challenge this week!  You’re very welcome to c’mon and play along for the goodies!!  RN Rootbeer WW3 close 352×375

Here’s to a Wacky Wednesday for all of us!
