Sing in the Rain, Dance in the Sun … … Take a Stroll!

RN Flourish Inchies fauxMbs tppr 500×119

**Edited to add:  The blog stroll contest is now closed.  We are delighted that you have joined us!  Our winners have been announced at the Rubbernecker Blog!

Welcome to another stroll with the Rubbernecker Red Hot Mammas!   It’s another opportunity for 4 of our stroll participants to win a brand new stamp set of your choice!   The stroll starts at the Rubbernecker Stamps Blog, where you will find the rules on how to win one of the 5 individual prize sets being revealed!    If you haven’t arrived here from the Rubbernecker Stamps Blog, you should go there now in order not to miss anything!

In order to be entered win one of the free sets, please leave a comment on this post. Winners will be randomly drawn from the comments left on the design team members’ blogs and those correct, complete phrases emailed to Sherry per the instructions on the Rubbernecker Blog.  The winners will have their choice of one of ANY one of the new releases!

Here is my phrase clue for one of the prizes:  Babies (Some of you know that ‘babies’ is a very near & dear subject to me!)  To find the next clue, stroll on over to Broni’s Blog!   The Blog Stroll will end at 12:00 Noon on Friday, May 29.   Winners will be announced on the Rubbernecker Blog.   Best of luck to each of you!

I’ve used the brand new “Flourishes Inchies” stamp set for today’s project.  The set includes 24 flourishes in ‘inchie’ size!  The sentiment is from the recently released ‘Wildflower Silhouettes’ set.  The sentiment and flourishes were all stamped in black pigment ink, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.   I had been thinking about a couple of recent SCS challenges, and was prompted to repeat the use of a single stamp by WT219.  In doing so, I created the border requirment for LSC218.  Both are fun challenges at SCS, so check them out if you’re looking for a new idea!

RN flourish Inchies fauxMbs 450×376

Technique from Tex: I created my own background paper by doing what I call Faux Embossing.   The colors are distress inks applied directly to white cardstock with a foam applicator.  I love the way these inks blend!  After laying the colors onto the paper, I misted water onto the fern background stamp.  That’s right …. water.  Next, the fern background was stamped onto the paper.  To dry, I used my handy craft iron.  Voila’!    I hope you enjoy!

Thanks oh so much for strolling along with us today!  Be sure to comment here for a chance at one of the free sets, then stroll on over to visit Broni!   Oh, and remember to collect a clue from each designer and send the completed phrase to Sherry per the instructions at the Rubbernecker Blog.  One of the winners comes from the correctly completed phrases!
