The weekend after Christmas is here … and I hope this finds you full of peace, contentment, and the sublime joy of having savored a wonderful celebration of Christmas!

In keeping with upcoming changes at the New Year, it’s time for my final installment as a member of the Sugar Baby Design Team for the Sweet Stop Challenges.  I’ve elected to finish my 2009 term, although I’ll certainly plan on participating occasionally during 2010.   Thank you for this sweet opportunity, Korin!  I have so enjoyed working with you!  The Sweet Stop sketches can really get you started on a creative new design.  This week, I have a frosty-looking snowman to share … just in time for the very uncommon snowy Christmas we’ve had here in North Texas.    Wow!  If you would like to play along with this week’s sketch, just upload the photo link to your creation with Mr. Linky at The Sweet Stop!  You’ll find full details for the challenge there as well.   Also, if you’re interested in applying for one of the open positions as a Sugar Baby, give yourself a present and check The Sweet Stop for details!       😉

White Christmas Alert … …  Yes!!  We actually had a White Christmas in this part of Texas!  (****gasp****)  And alas,  I was on the road to/from Christmas Eve service, followed by a traditional family White Elephant exchange.  The ensuing night-time ice on the roads was similar to an ice rink.  Truly, at 20 m.p.h., we weren’t the fastest, and certainly weren’t the slowest.  So this little frosty guy would have been right at home, if he were able to withstand the wind!

This cute little Rubbernecker snowman was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, trimmed and die cut with a Spellbinders die, then colored with Copic Markers.  RN Snowman SSS36 ins 404×450  Tex’s Tip:  I simply cannot bring myself to waste the coloring time only to discover that the cutting flubbed after I’ve colored!    A couple of teeny buttons were added to the snowman’s clothing, and most cut layer edges were given a tiny line of glitz.   Gotta love a bit of frosty glitz!

Inside you’ll find a couple of layered scraps from the designer paper, more glitzed edges, and one of my favorite larger snowflake images, stamped off so the written message will be easily read.   The theme has purposely been left ‘open’, so it will suit several occasions!

Today (Saturday) I’ll be having our traditional family Christmas meal and gift exchange here at home, as that works best for having both children and all grandblessings here all at one time.   Now it’s time to finish up some gift tags, and hope that all of you have already enjoyed or will be enjoying the sweetest blessings of the Christmas season!

Thank you so much for your comments and visits here.  I hope to bring inspiration to each of you in some way!
