Whooo Loves You?!
Every now & then, we all like to break out & play with a little different style. Although this project can still be sent in an envelope as a “card”, it takes on a whole new dimension once you pop it up … thus, it’s called a ‘free-standing popup card’!
Trust me …. this looks a lot more complicated than it is.
I know …. whenever someone says “Trust me“, a variety of cautious mental flags start to wave.
But go ahead … trust me on this one. 😉
Mary Jo Albright authored a great tutorial found in the Splitcoaststampers Resource area, which is very easy to follow. Grab your Scor-Pal & Scor-Tape and give this unique little project a try!

This darling little owl is one of the images from my “Owl Greetings” set by Woodware USA. The “thought bubble” stamp is ready to surround your choice of sentiments … I love that flexibility. After coloring the images, I sponged in a bit of blue sky, and added a scalloped eyelet border to resemble owl’s eyebrows. The brown base is a great ‘leathery’ textured cardstock from Gina K. Designs, while the tree leaves are punched from a favorite Martha Stewart punch. A couple of earthy buttons were added to finish it off.

Here it is in its folded, ready-to-send form … so easy to pop-up to its stand-alone presentation.
Remember what I said?
Trust me! Give this one a try! Then come on back & let me know what you think. In the meantime, thanks a hoot for stopping by!
