Bunny Up, Brutus!

IA bunnyegg tppr 595×127

Welcome to Tuesday!  I had the pleasure of creating one of the samples for this week’s Teapot Tuesday Challenge (MMTPT87) over at SCS today.  Be sure to read Mothermark’s descriptive story about the confused Brutus the bunny.  That little guy needs some serious help due a terrible identity crisis!  You’ll definitely want to check it out here!  Then join in the fun and create something to help out dear Brutus.     😉

I’ve attempted to “show” Brutus just what bunnies should be doing at this time of the year …. working on those Easter eggs!  My bunny & egg image is popped up for some dimension, then layered atop a couple of cardstock shapes, followed by a couple of coordinating Basic Grey papers.   The egg is paper-pieced with a bit of the background paper.  Tex’s Tip:  When paper-piecing, be sure to use a ‘thin’ layer of liquid glue.  I smear it thinly with my fingertip.  Too much glue will cause oozing … and a tricky mess on the edges.  The 5.5″ square cardstock base was stamped with white pigment Easter eggs, and edged just a bit with direct-ink-to-paper.   And just in case Brutus was watching, I photographed the project on the bushes behind the house … within about 8 feet of where a couple of bunnies live under the deck.  Hopefully that confused little Brutus was watching!   😉

Thanks for your visit today!  Check out the Teapot Tuesday challenge when you get a chance to visit your stamps & ink!
