A Girl’s Gotta Do …

Ahhhhhh, yes it is true.    A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do!

Even Ethel says so!   LOL

This week’s SC284 challenge over at Splitcoaststampers seemed like just the perfect way in which to present Ethel, as she helps to “promote” our regular workouts.  Looks like she’s been doing some pretty good workouts, judging from those baggy leg warmers!   I’ve added some dry pressure embossing to the largest Basic Grey layer, as well as to the sentiment layer, followed by light sponging of the darker base card color … all in contrast to Ethel’s paper-pieced gym attire.  I added straight paper-piercing by using my favorite Tim Holtz centering ruler … I love that it includes piercing holes for the full 12-inch length.  I did use my sewing machine to sew the satin ribbon into a randomly folded zig-zag shape before adhering it around the card.  And finally, Ethel’s glasses have some clear dimension from the Glossy Accents applied to her lenses.  This was done as the final step, after the card was completely assembled.  (I think I know how she feels …. all help is welcome when it comes to seeing clearly.  I don’t even want to count how many pairs of reading glasses I have around here!)

Well, I hope you’ve enjoyed this visit from Ethel.  She’s pretty spunky, as you can see!  Thanks for stopping by, plus extra (((hugs))) for encouraging Ethel to visit again someday.   😉
