Thanks to the Internet * Just for You!
Good morning, friends! I think we’re headed for another gorgeous day here in this part of the planet … and after the recent few weeks, I’m definitely ready!
I have a little story to share with you today. Actually, it’s the inspiration for today’s card. Over 30 years ago in college, I became quick friends with a girl I’ll call “K”. We had lots of things in common, the same major, close in age, both from ‘the farm’, and took all the same classes. She eventually fell in love & married while I stood along with her sisters at her wedding, and off she went with the love of her life to whereever his military assignments would lead them.
Fast forward to last weekend. Here’s where the internet comes in. I was browsing FaceBook and “K” came to mind. I searched. Even though she isn’t on Facebook, I found myself checking white pages within a couple of minutes. In my message, I left my email address and a welcome to chat of course.
… …. Time to smile! 🙂
Life can be so rich at times! The two of us chatted for a long, long time over the weekend! I’m still wearing the smile of having caught up with someone with whom I had spent so many great times during school and during the summer as well. Blessings come when we least expect them … and I still feel mighty blessed today. And so, I need to send a special card .. and here’s what came out when I sat at my stampin’ table.
Even though it doesn’t necessarily show very well in the photo above, there’s a lovely shimmer misted atop the papers & sentiment. 
You see, I needed to add a bit of sparkle for the “happy” I’m feeling! Flowers from Prima were layered and given a pearl center, and punched leaves & fronds were glammed with both glitter and chunky glass glitter. The sentiment needed to pop up on its own, so it’s heat embossed.
